Cotton is a natural, breathable fibre valued for its softness, durability and versatility. As a plant-based material, it is biodegradable and long-wearing when cared for correctly. Its strong yet comfortable fibres allow garments to be worn frequently, making cotton a reliable foundation within a considered wardrobe. Gentle washing and lower temperatures help preserve colour, structure and fibre integrity over time.
Wash
Turn garments inside out before washing. Hand wash with warm water or machine wash at 30°C or lower on a delicate or regular cycle. Utilise a mild detergent and avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach or fabric softeners
Dry
Air dry where possible to maintain shape and reduce shrinkage. If using a tumble dryer, select a low setting and remove promptly to prevent creasing
Heat
Iron on a medium heat while slightly damp for best results. Steam can be used to smooth more stubborn creases.
Take Note
Cotton that has been coloured may fade over time but looking after your garments according to their needs will prolong both the colour and life of the fabric. Due to its relaxed weave, avoid using any harsh chemicals.
Please expect a small amount of shrinkage on the first few washes.
